What you will learn in this course:
Exploring your voice
You will play with many nuances that allow you to explore all the “nooks and crannies” of your voice. We will discover timbre, resonance, flow, and little tips and tricks to get you to your goals efficiently.
Vocal Health
We will have a discussion about what the voice world has been preaching to you and debunking some popular opinions. I will also bring attention to your posture and why it is important to be grounded in the space you are singing in.
Voice Types
I am excited to start this discussion with all of you! Again, this is just a set of guidelines that allows you to get closer to knowing how to pick out songs for yourself and what your voice type is. The industry is very opinionated about this subject so let’s talk about it.
Music Theory
Knowing more about Music Theory allows you to add a new dimension into your musicianship. Singing is not just about your technique. You are also a musician. You will learn how to read notes on the staff, build chords, and train your aural skills.
